A Festival Dedicated to Alabama Gulf Coast Birds

The annual Alabama Coastal BirdFest attracts birders and nature lovers to Alabama every year for prime birdwatching opportunities of the Gulf Coast birds during fall migration. More than 370 species of birds have been found along the Alabama Coast. The Alabama Coastal BirdFest raises money for protecting and preserving the habitat of local wildlife.   • The 5 Rivers Delta Resource Center will host a family-friendly and FREE Bird and Conservation Expo. This expo highlights local non–profits and environmental agencies. It also features hands-on activities and brief boat cruises led by a junior birder!

The 2023 Flora Bama Bulls on the Beach

The Flora Bama Bulls on the Beach is a family-friendly event filled with adrenaline and three nights of live rodeo action featuring Professional bull riders from all over the United States! Returning in 2023 will be Junior Riders on Miniature Bulls, a Coloring Contest Bike Giveaway, followed by professional bull riding to end the night with a bang. They will have a random bike giveaway drawing during Intermission to select one boy and girl aged 12 and under from the coloring contest.  

When: The next Flora-Bama Bulls on the Beach event will be on September 7 – 9th, 2023. The gates will open at 6 p.m. and the Rodeo will begin at 8 p.m. The event seating is first come, first serve, and parking is minimal, so we strongly suggest arriving early to get a good spot.

The Gulf Shores State Park Pier is the second longest pier on the entire Gulf of Mexico at 20 feet wide, 1540 feet long, and 2446 feet of fishing spots.
