During our visit, we tried a little bit of everything. We hit some golf balls, played Zombie Dodgeball, tried our hand at Hockey Shots, tested our skills in Carnival Classic, and even pitched a few baseballs. And if you watch our video, you’ll quickly see that we’re definitely not professionals and won’t be going pro anytime soon! Often called an “adult milkshake,” the Bushwacker drink is a creamy blend of coffee liqueur, dark rum, cream of coconut, and chocolatey goodness, usually served frozen. It got its name after a dog and adds a tropical twist to the classic White Russian cocktail. The Bushwacker recipe varies from bar to bar, and Flora Bama has added its own twist. Even President Obama couldn’t resist this desert cocktail while he was in Orange Beach!

Smiles, Costumes, and Candy at Boo at the Zoo

Halloween fun, smiling faces, and plenty of candy. What more could you ask for? Our Marketing Team had such a fun time at Boo at the Zoo, put on by the Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo!

Every year, local businesses sponsor tables and set up around the zoo to hand out candy and goodies to excited kids. It’s one of those events that perfectly captures what we love about our community: families coming together, kids showing off their creative costumes, and local businesses pitching in to make the morning special.

We absolutely love this event. It’s one of our favorite days of the year because it’s all about connection and community. Seeing the joy on kids’ faces, chatting with parents and visitors, and being part of such a fun, feel-good morning reminds us how lucky we are to call the Alabama Gulf Coast home.

This year, we were also excited to leave a little something behind for the zoo residents! The pumpkins we brought for our setup were donated after the event to be used as enrichment items for some of the animals, a fun and festive treat for them to enjoy.

A big thank you to the Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo for hosting another amazing Boo at the Zoo! We’re already looking forward to next year’s festivities.
