Cotton Creek Craft Farms Golf Resort in Gulf Shores is home to Cotton Creek, the original Palmer design on the Alabama Gulf Coast. Situated on 820 secluded acres touched on two sides by the Bon Secour Wildlife Preserve, the Peninsula represents one of the region’s most spectacular venues for Alabama golf. If you’ve never played one of the nearly 50 courses designed by veteran architect Earl Stone, the Gulf Shores Golf Association offers three of his very best. The first is the 18-hole layout at Rock Creek Golf Club, one of the most challenging and grandly surprising courses in lower Alabama. The surprise at Rock Creek is the stunning topography, with some of Baldwin County’s highest elevations overlooking freshwater wetlands and the Rock Creek basin. The tall pines and hardwoods that line nearly every fairway only enhance the visual effect.
